The fall season's magic is already stirring and living at The Mark at CityPlace in Spring, you don’t need to wander far to find ways to celebrate. It's practically at your doorstep. From Spooky Storytime and a Halloween puppet show to the annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration, City Place offers a little something for everyone.
Free Halloween Events on the Plaza
On Sunday, October 19, Mr. Leo's Halloween Puppet Show comes to City Place Plaza with performances at 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The following Saturday, October 25, enjoy Spooky Storytime with Wednesday, an interactive storytelling adventure filled with songs, stickers, and plenty of spooky fun. The two storytelling experiences begin at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Celebrating Día de los Muertos
City Place Plaza will also host this year's annual Día de los Muertos Celebration, schedule for Saturday, November 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The free community event will kick off with a traditional indigenous performance by the Azteca Dance Group from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a lively lineup of music throughout the evening. The Latin and variety band Shekere takes the stage at 5:00 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m., with Tres Amigos Mariachi Band performing from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.
In addition to live entertainment, the celebration will feature a pop-up mercado showcasing Mexican folk art vendors, along with food, family-friendly activities, and more cultural experiences. For additional information, visit City Place's official website.
